Programme Development Manager
Emma Waslin
Emma Waslin has over sixteen years’ experience as a Creative Learning Specialist. She has led on delivering innovative and educational programmes for arts charities, theatres, formal education and in the community. Emma is passionate that all children irrelevant of gender, background, socio-economic status should have equitable access to opportunities. She is also a proud mum, keen poet and cheese lover.
TRUSTEES
BEE ROWLATT
Bee Rowlatt MBE (chair) is a writer. In Search of Mary won the Society of Authors’ K Blundell Trust award. Bee wrote the introduction to Wollstonecraft’s Vindications; led the campaign for Wollstonecraft’s memorial, and wrote the play An Amazon Stept Out. Its West End debut marked the launch of the Wollstonecraft Society.
Sarah Gulamhusein
Sarah Gulamhusein (vice chair) is a psychologist, with a background in medical biochemistry. Her work raises awareness about mental health and human rights, which is reflected in her work for TsaZesh, Mary on the Green Campaign, Refuge (Domestic Abuse Charity), 1000women, Inspirited Minds (Muslim mental health charity).
David Robinson
David Robinson is a retired English solicitor and an experienced charity trustee. He is on the Court of and a past Master of the Worshipful Company of Founders of the City of London. David is a member of the Church of England and has served as Churchwarden in parishes in Warwickshire and London.
Selin Sonmez
Selin Sonmez is a human rights advocate with a background in humanitarian crisis research and studies. She is committed to furthering her knowledge in these areas and contributing in any way she can to support efforts that promote justice and equality. She values education and believes in the importance of using her skills to help advance positive change.
Chris Wright
Chris Wright is a solicitor specialising in corporate law. Chris is a co-founder and partner of a private equity firm. Chris was formerly Chair of Trustees of a charity working to prevent homelessness in Islington.
CARON BRADSHAW
Caron Bradshaw is CEO of the Charity Finance Group. She is a trained Barrister and has a wide array of experience across charity, regulation/law, policy, member support, and professional ethics. She holds a number of non-executive roles and was honoured with an OBE for 'services to charity' in the New Year's Honours list 2021.
VOLUNTEERS
Catherine Utley
Catherine Utley is a retired accountant and keen cyclist. She worked primarily in the not for profit sector as well as volunteering as a treasurer and accounts examiner for numerous small charities. Latterly, she focused on financial literacy and now volunteers for Citizens Advice.
Sarah Bonfim
Sarah Bonfim is a Philosophy graduate. She studies Mary Wollstonecraft as a philosopher, and her master dissertation was about reason in Wollstonecraft's Rights of Woman. Sarah is part of the international research network New Voices and was a member of Enciclopédia Mulheres na Filosofia, where she was responsible for social media.
Gideon Carr
Gideon Carr has been around the internet since the early days and doesn't mind rolling up his sleeves for a good cause. He has developed specialist systems for the logistics industry and pioneered multimedia platform development for media comms and the medical sector, while sharing Yorkshire's pyritic concretions on TikTok.
